'Robson' campaign centers on real estate

Free rent given away to kick off Season 3

VANCOUVER -- As much as CAN$12,000 in free rent is being given away as part of a promotional campaign for the upcoming season of "Robson Arms," a Canadian TV drama set in an apartment building that airs on CTV.

Season 3 of the show launches May 5 at 9:30 p.m. ET with the episode "Robson Arms Rent Control," and a tie-in online game in which Canadians can play to win rent or mortgage payments for one year.

The game, available online at robsonarms.ctv.ca from May 5-June 15, involves helping TV character Bobbi (Gabrielle Miller) find rent money so she doesn't get evicted. On the quest, they will discover hidden story lines, video and audio clips and delve into the lives of all the tenants.

"We want to give new viewers and current fans the opportunity to get to know the Robson Arms tenants more intimately by snooping through different characters' apartments and allowing them to make a new connection with the series," said Rick Lewchuk, senior vp at CTV Creative Agency and Brand Strategy.

The game was created in association with Omni Film Productions Limited and CTV by Vancouver-based Noise Digital.
