Rodale Signs With UTA, Expands Into TV
The healthy lifestyle media company will work alongside the agency to create scripted and unscripted programming.
Rodale is tackling a new frontier: TV.
The world's leading healthy lifestyle media company has signed with UTA as it expands into scripted and unscripted television programming, it was announced Tuesday.
This marks the first Hollywood agency representation for the media company, which will work alongside UTA to create projects across all platforms.
"For more than 70 years, Rodale has been creating the most engaging and inspiring content on all aspects of a healthy lifestyle — in food, fitness, relationships, adventure, recreation and other areas," said Rodale president Scott Schulman. "Teaming up with UTA is a natural next step as we extend our great brands and stories into television programming that entertains, motivates and improves the lives of audiences."
Through its partnership with UTA, Rodale also hopes to broaden the reach of its most popular brands, which include Men's Health, Women's Health, Prevention, Runner's World, Bicycling and Rodale's Organic Life.
"We are thrilled to be working with Rodale Inc. to connect their exceptional content and trusted brands to consumers in new and innovative ways," said UTA partner Nancy Gates.
Rodale's portfolio also includes more than 75 New York Times best-sellers, the online learning platform Rodale U and Rodale's, a healthy lifestyle e-commerce store.
