The label's designer sisters Kate and Laura Melleavy have created a limited-edition line of products for the coffee chain.

The Mulleavy sisters -- Kate and Laura -- who design the label Rodarte out of their native L.A. but are big hits on the New York runway and often dress Natalie Portman and Mia Wasikowska -- have done a number of collaborations this year, and it's clear they are going for branding in a big way. They did a line with Opening Ceremony, they did a project with Swarovski and with MAC cosmetics, and they designed costumes not only for Black Swan but also for a recent New York City ballet choregraphed by Portman's husband, Benjamin Millepied.

What does this say to us? This: The girls have a good agency! (They are repped by WME.) Now they have their most commercial deal yet -- with Starbucks. A colleague of ours just came back from getting her coffee and showed us a Rodarte-designed Starbucks card.

But that's not all -- the Mulleavys are doing a limited-edition line of Starbucks products, including mugs, tote bags, drink sleeves -- and they debuted Tuesday. They are based around a grey, silver and white pixellated pattern on a lime green background. Not a bad Christmas present for a coffee lover -- or a fashion lover -- and particularly for those of us who are both!

This is Starbucks first fashion collaboration, and it looks like there will be more. Fashion designers -- get in line -- like we do for our vanilla soy latte everyday!
