TORONTO -- Canadian cable giant Rogers Communications Inc. on Monday said it will add Turner Classic Movies to its digital channel lineup early in the new year.

The deal between Toronto-based Rogers, Canada's largest cable company, and Turner Broadcasting System will see the 24-hour movie channel offered to Rogers' customer base as of Feb. 1.

Turner Classic Movies made its Canadian debut in November 2005 on the schedule of rival cabler Shaw Communications.
