Rogers picks up 'Crusoe' for fall
Second purchase ahead of L.A. ScreeningsTORONTO -- In the second pre-Los Angeles Screenings purchase by a Canadian broadcaster, Rogers Media has picked up NBC's "Crusoe" for its fall schedule.
Rogers' Citytv stations will show "Crusoe" on Friday nights at 8 p.m., day-and-date with the NBC airdate.
The acquisition follows rival CanWest Media earlier this week picking up a slew of NBC Universal product, including the new "Knight Rider" drama, two weeks before the Canadians make their annual Hollywood pilgrimage to buy new U.S. series.
"Crusoe," directed by Duane Clark ("CSI: Miami," "CSI: NY") and starring Philip Winchester, is structured as a U.K./Canada/South Africa co-production.
The series' producers are Power, Muse Entertainment and Moonlighting Crusoe Prods.
