The event, in its eighth year, is the world's leading festival dedicated to international TV fiction shows. The festival will feature seven days of screenings representing 21 countries.

Highlights include Allison Tolman presenting TV series Fargo, and two fan marathons for The Walking Dead and the original BBC series House of Cards, which inspired the Netflix remake. Homeland producer Howard Gordon will participate in a master class on political dramas.

True Detective will be preceded by a screening of Bernardo Bertolucci’s The Spider’s Stratagem, the Italian master’s mesmerizing whodunit film. Bertolucci will be present via video interview to discuss the two works.

A tribute to Transformers director Michael Bay will include screenings of his TV projects The Last Ship and Black Sails, both of which Bay executive produced.

An official awards ceremony will dole out prizes to the best series and actors for both Italian and international productions.
