Romuald Karmakar to Head Berlin Dialogue en Perspective Jury
To award prize to film that encourages dialogue between France and Germany
COLOGNE, Germany -- Veteran German director Romuald Karmakar will be the head of the jury for the Dialogue en perspective award, a prize given during the Berlin Film Festival (Feb. 10-21) for a German feature film that encourages dialogue between France and Germany.
Karmakar is a regular on the art house scene in both Berlin and Paris as well known for his politically themed documentaries (Villalobos, TheHimmel Project, Hamburg Lectures) as for his intimate, actor-driven dramas (Nightsongs, Manila, Deathmaker).
The 2011 Dialogue en perspective jury will be made up of three German, three French and one Bosnian film lover, aged between 18-29, which will be selected in the coming weeks.
