Ron Howard to Participate in Talk for Film Society of Lincoln Center

The director will be talking about his latest feature 'In the Heart of the Sea.'

Ron Howard will be participating in the next Film Society Talks, an event put on by The Film Society of Lincoln Center.

The event is timed to the release of his new film In the Heart of the Sea, which tells the true story of the American whaling ship Essex that was the inspiration for Herman Melville's Moby Dick.

The film stars Chris Hemsworth, Benjamin Walker, Cillian Murphy, Tom Holland, Ben Whishaw and Brendan Gleeson. It opens in theaters on December 11.

Clips, trailers and extended conversations with questions from the audience will be featured in Howard's talk, which is sponsored by HBO.

The talk will be free of charge and will take place at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 22.
