TIFF: Rosamund Pike Thriller 'Three Seconds' Goes to Aviron in North America
Aviron recently released the Halle Berry crime thriller 'Kidnap.'
Ahead of the Toronto International Film Festival, the Rosamund Pike-starrer Three Seconds has been picked up by Aviron Pictures in North America.
Adapted from a best-selling Swedish novel by Anders Roslund and Börge Hellström, Three Seconds follows special ops soldier Pete Koslow, who, in order to free himself from jail and return to his wife and daughter, has been working undercover for crooked FBI handlers to infiltrate the Polish mob’s drug trade in New York. His cover is threatened when he has to return to prison after a drug deal goes wrong.
The Thunder Roads production was directed by Andrea Di Stefano and also stars Joel Kinnaman, Common, Clive Owen and Ana de Armas.
Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee produced, alongside Wayne Marc Godfrey, Robert Jones, Mark Lane, James Harris and Ollie Madden of The Fyzz Facility, which also financed the film. Thunder Road’s Jonathan Fuhrman and Magnolia Entertainment’s Shelley Browning executive produced.
The thriller, which recently wrapped production, will be on sale in Toronto, with Bloom handling all international rights.
Aviron recently released the Halle Berry crime thriller Kidnap and will next release the thriller Strangers from the director of 47 Meters Down.
