Rosie O'Donnell to Join ACLU, MoveOn.org in Trump Protest on Tuesday
Advocacy groups and protestors will rally outside of the White House before Trump's first address to Congress.
President Donald Trump plans to make his first address to Congress on Feb. 28 and the ACLU, MoveOn.org and other organizations are planning to protest his remarks, with the president's nemesis Rosie O'Donnell set to participate in the demonstration.
An address and rally outside of the White House prior to Trump's address is being planned for 6 p.m. ET on Tuesday. The rally will be called "A Resistance Address: Defending American Values in a Time of Moral Crisis."
In addition to O'Donnell, the ACLU and MoveOn.org Civic Action, Food & Water Watch, National Nurses United, Hip Hop Caucus, DailyKos, Our Revolution and more are gathering together to send "a clear message outside of Trump’s front door that his agenda does not represent the values of the American people."
The rally will reportedly feature speakers from diverse organizations and groups who have been "impacted and harmed" by Trump's administration, "including women, people of color and members of LGBTQ community, as well as environmental and immigrants rights groups."
