There’s a new standard by which all other Christmas cards will be judged, and that’s the just-released holiday greeting by the British Royal family. Catherine Duchess of Cambridge, her Duke hubby, William, and their adorable spawn Prince George and Princess Charlotte look so photogenic and happy, it’s almost like they’re the placeholder image in a brand-new frame.

Not that there was any doubt, the Christmas card is further evidence there is nothing stuffy about these royals. The image, which was taken in October by photographer and former soldier Chris Jelf, features the family enjoying what looks like the perfect autumn day outside. Colored leaves surround them and there’s a toy truck on the ground.

Also, they manage to pull off coordinating ensembles without being the least bit cheesy or matchy-matchy. Will wears typical khaki pants with a light blue oxford and navy pullover, while George has on his requisite knee socks with blue shorts and a cozy pastel sweater.

Kate’s jeans and pale shirt-and-sweater combo go well with the rest of her family’s, while baby Charlotte gets to be the center of attention as the only one wearing a print (floral). It’s the same Liberty dress she wears in the recent portraits taken by Kate, along with that now-on-sale baby pink cashmere cardigan ($45) by The White Company. If she follows in her stylish mom's footsteps we'll soon see it sell out.
