Russia toying with idea of state-run 'super'-sized studio

The government is considering the creation of a state-run "super" studio complex. Few details are available yet, other than that it will be fully owned and operated by the government — mirroring recent moves to create giant state-run corporations in various sectors.

The news comes just two weeks after the government said it was selling Gorky Studio — a move that may now be reconsidered.

The government is launching an audit of the three existing complexes whose facilities require major renovation. (partialdiff)
