Russian International Film Market Unveils Preliminary Program

The screening of "Yolki 3," released by Timur Bekmambetov’s Bazelevs, will be among the highlights.

MOSCOW – The 92nd Russian International Film Market, which is scheduled to run Nov. 25-Nov. 28, has unveiled its preliminary program and participants’ list.

This year’s edition of Russia’s oldest film market, which is to be held at Moscow’s World Trade Center, will feature 20th Century Fox, Walt Disney Sony Pictures Releasing, UPI, Karo, which distributes Warner Bros. fare in Russia, and Central Partnership, the local distributor of Paramount film.

All of those companies will do presentations featuring movies that haven't been announced yet, as well as major domestic film companies, such as Timur Bekmambetov’s Bazelevs, Paradiz and Nashe Kino.

The event is will kick off with Walt Disney’s presentation and end with Fox’s event.

Bazelevs is to screen its upcoming Christmas comedy, Yolki 3, a third installment in its Yolki (Six Degrees of Celebration) franchise. The first two installments, released in late 2010 and late 2011, respectively, became the New Year season’s local box office champions.

The new one, slated to be released on Dec. 26, is also expected to do well this coming year-end season.
