Russian TV to resume in South Ossetia

But broadcast still remains blocked in rest of Georgia

MOSCOW -- Three Russian TV channels are expected to resume broadcasting in Georgia's breakaway region of South Ossetia on Friday, according to Russia's emergency minister, Sergei Shoigu, the Russian wire service RIA Novosti reported Friday.

The minister didn't specify the channels, but most likely, it will be state-controlled Channel One, Rossiya and NTV.

Meanwhile, the broadcasting of Russian TV channels in Georgian territory controlled by the government has been blocked since Saturday, following accusations of "information war."
