Russia's CTC Media in management reshuffle

Vyacheslav Murugov named group general producer

MOSCOW -- CTC Media, Russia’s biggest independent TV broadcaster, has announced more changes in the top echelons of its management as part of a restructure scheme in a bid to improve the company’s efficiency.

CTC Media appointed executive producer Vyacheslav Murugov as the new general producer of the entire group in charge of operation, content and programming of CTC Media’s channels, and general director of the group’s flagship channel, CTC.

Konstantin Naumochkin and Ilya Ognev were appointed executive producers in charge of comedy programming and TV series, information and entertainment programs, respectively. Alexei Kazakov was named the group’s chief editor.

Simultaneously, Natalya Korotkova, general director of the Domashni channel, was replaced with the channel’s executive producer Natalya Bilan, whose responsibilities will be transferred to Ognev.

CTC Media’s spokesperson confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that all changes in the company management are part of a previously adopted restructure scheme aimed at stepping up the group’s efficiency. She wouldn’t comment on where the people leaving CTC Media are going.

Two months ago, Alexander Rodnyansky stepped down as CTC Media’s CEO and was replaced by Anton Kudryashov.
