Russia's RBC TV reports revenue boost

Group cites high demand for ads

MOSCOW -- Russian media group RBC reported Monday that revenue of free-to-air RBC TV increased by 21% to $21.7 million for the first six months of the year compared with the same period in 2007.

The group said it hopes to achieve a 25%-30% revenue increase for the entire year thanks to high demand for ads and increasing audiences.

RBC TV is Russia's sole free-to-the-air business TV channel. Its coverage in the capital is around 70% of all households.
