Ryan Gosling's 'Drive' Jacket Available After Halloween
A replica of the scorpion jacket worn in the Nicolas Winding Refn movie is being sold for $159.99.
With Halloween quickly approaching, those wanting to get their hands on a replica jacket worn by Ryan Gosling in the high-intensity thriller, Drive, before Oct. 31 will have to wait a little while longer.
Steady Clothing is selling the cream-colored scorpion jacket (13 versions were made for the film) that the actor wears in the Nicolas Winding Refn-directed film for $159.99. Currently available for pre-order, the jacket -- in a limited first run -- is expected to be shipped on Nov. 11.
On a recent appearance on TBS late-night talker, Conan, Gosling admitted to wanting to playing a character that people would want to dress up as on Halloween. "I really believe every guy is going to want this jacket," Conan O'Brien declared, before Gosling made his confession. "Always wanted to make a character that people would go out for Halloween and so I'm really crossing my fingers on this one," he told O'Brien.
Gosling, touting the film at the time, gave O'Brien one of the jackets from the film, but instead of the white jacket Driver wears, it was in maroon.
In the nostalgic Drive, Gosling plays Driver, a mysterious and quiet stunt driver by day and a getaway driver by night. The Film District feature, which opened Sept. 16, has grossed $27.3 million so far in the U.S. box office, according to Box Office Mojo.
