This is the second deal the Olympic swimmer has signed following his Rio scandal.
Just one week after losing endorsement deals with Speedo, Ralph Lauren and other high-profile companies following his heavily investigated scandal in Rio de Janeiro, Ryan Lochte is busy getting back into the sponsorship business.
The Olympic swimmer has partnered with ROBOCOPP, a company that manufactures personal and portable security alarms.
This marks the second sponsorship Lochte has landed since coming under public scrutiny for fabricating a story about being robbed at gunpoint during the Rio Olympics. He also recently scored a deal as a spokesperson for Pine Bros. cough drops and joined the lineup of Dancing With the Stars' 23rd season.
In a video advertisement posted to his Instagram, Lochte shows his followers how to use a ROBOCOPP device.
"I've been traveling a lot lately. We all like to have fun, but it's a good idea to stay safe," he says. "I don't go anywhere without Robocopp. All you do is pull the pin and it releases a startling alarm that can get you out of a bad situation."
