Summer has arrived early courtesy of Saint Laurent and Gaspar Noe.

The provocative filmmaker teamed with the luxury and trend-setting fashion house on a moody and slightly spooky new short film, Summer of '21, that showcases Anthony Vaccarello's upcoming collection. The short — clocking in at 7 minutes, 52 seconds — reteams Noe with Saint Laurent after a collaboration on Lux Aeterna, a 50-minute film that debuted at the Cannes Film Festival in 2019.

"A world bathed by a red, hazy, velvety light, reminiscent of the glory years of Giallo," reads material released today by Saint Laurent in conjunction with the film's debut. "Dreaminess and tension, decadence and danger." It opens with a woman running and screaming from an unknown threat in a forest before she seeks refuge in a mansion that is dripping in red lighting and filled with stylish models.

Charlotte Rampling stars in the short film alongside models Anok Yai, Antonia Przedpelski, Assa Baradji, Aylah Mae Peterson, Clara Deshayes, Grace Hartzel, Kim Schell, Mica Arganaraz, Miriam Sanchez, Sora Choi, and Stefania Cristian.

Produced by Saint Laurent creative director Anthony Vaccarello, the film features a high-intensity Sebastian remix of Donna Summer’s "I Feel Love" with music and lyrics by Summer with Pete Bellotte and Giorgio Moroder.
