Well, what else were they gonna do with them?

We finally have the answer as to what Saint Laurent did with all those engraved front-row seats from the fall couture presentation.

Christina Binkley, fashion columnist at The Wall Street Journal, tweeted on Monday afternoon that her chair — complete with the gilded plate bearing "Madame Christina Binkley" — had arrived at her door direct from the City of Light.

"Imagine my surprise today when my @YSL seat arrived from Paris!" she wrote alongside a picture of a wooden crate containing the eccentric souvenir. Unfortunately for Binkley, however, she had to refuse the piece. "Thanks, Hedi, but ethics require me to return it."

Vanessa Friedman of The New York Times and Robin Givhan of the Washington Post were among the other American editors to gush over their highly personalized seats. Especially considering most fashion week assignments are simply printed on a sheet of plain white paper or scrawled by an intern, the nameplates certainly went above and beyond.

As for those guests without moral obligations to return the gift, the chair will certainly make for an excellent conversation piece.
