Salmi guiding MTVN d-media


Viacom's MTV Networks has announced a new global digital media executive team, responsible for providing strategic guidance to the company's growing portfolio of digital brands.

The exec team reports to Mike Salmi, president of global digital media at MTV. The network runs 32 broadband sites and 139 Web sites worldwide.

The team will be composed of executives from throughout MTV, including Denmark West, who was named executive vp operations for global digital media. He will help Salmi manage the overall digital operations of the company and coordinate digital marketing for the network.

Joining West in the group is Nicholas Lehman, who was named executive vp and general manager for MTVN's games and interactive media group. With the new unit, Lehman will manage MTV's games media businesses and its interactive and social media initiatives.

Rounding out the team, Kenny Miller was named executive vp and creative director; Nick Rockwell will be senior vp and chief technology officer of digital media technology; Greg Clayman was named senior vp MTVN Mobile Media; and Jason Witt will be senior vp online distribution and partnerships for the team.
