The singer will sport custom-designed CK suits while making the crowd swoon

Whether he's covering Whitney Houston's "How Will I Know" or performing an acoustic version of "Stay With Me" at this year's MTV VMAs, Sam Smith knows a thing or two about making us swoon over his angelic voice. Now we have one more reason to fall head over heels for the always well-dressed British crooner — he'll be performing on his 2014 North American tour in custom designed suits by Calvin Klein (one of The Hollywood Reporter's Top 25 Red-Carpet Designers). We're latching onto this, indeed.

Smith will wear slim-fitted suits in dark, muted colors (navy and shades of gray) designed by Italo Zucchelli, men's creative director of Calvin Klein, along with dress shirts and suede boots.

"When I wrote my record, I had to think very deeply about how I wanted to represent myself. I wanted people to focus on the music, and I wanted my clothes to marry my music and work hand-in-hand," Smith told WWD. "I also wanted to look classic, but look my age, yet at the same time, ageless." He added that Frank Sinatra was his fashion icon: "His style forced you to listen to his voice, but it was his clothes and style that helped make his music sound like dollar bills."

The 22-year-old singer-songwriter most recently sported the American fashion label while attending the 2014 MTV VMAs, where he was nominated for Best Male Video and MTV Artist to Watch.

Catch Smith in his CK garb during his North American tour, which kicks off Thursday at NYC's United Palace Theatre.
