Samuel Goldwyn picks up 'Double Hour'

Ksenia Rappaport stars in Capotondi thriller

CANNES -- Samuel Goldwyn Films has acquired all U.S. rights to "The Double Hour" (La Doppia Ora), whose star Ksenia Rappaport won the best actress prize at the Venice Film Festival, where the pic debuted.

In the thriller directed by Giuseppe Capotondi, Rappaport plays a hotel chambermaid whose life begins to unravel after she meets a former policeman via speed-dating.

"Hour" was produced by Francesca Cima and Nicola Giuliano from a script by Alessandro Fabbri, Ludovica Rampoldi and Stefano Sardo.

Peter Goldwyn, Goldwyn vp acquisitions, negotiated the deal with Charlotte Boucon at SND (Groupe M6).
