The seven-minute short will run in front of Pixar's upcoming feature 'The Good Dinosaur.'

Pixar has taken on everything from the socioeconomic infrastructure of bug society to the midlife crisis of aging superheroes. Now, with their latest short, Sanjay's Super Team, the Disney-owned animation studio is taking on the challenges faced by a multicultural family.

A clip from the seven-minute short film features a superhero-obsessed Indian-American boy, who doesn't appreciate his father's practice of puja, a daily Hindu prayer ritual.

Director Sanjay Patel, who worked on Ratatouille, Toy Story 2 and The Incredibles, based the short on his own life experience as the son of Indian immigrants growing up in San Bernardino.

Pixar's last short, Lava, ran in front of Inside Out, and was a musical love story about two volcanoes in the South Pacific.

Sanjay's Super Team will run in front of The Good Dinosaur, out Nov. 25.
