Sarah Paulson Nabs Lead in Lionsgate Thriller 'Run'

Aneesh Chaganty will direct the film in which Paulson plays a mother whose teenage daughter's life unravels as a sinister secret is revealed.

Sarah Paulson has nabbed the lead role in Lionsgate's thriller Run from the creative team behind Searching, with Aneesh Chaganty to direct.

Paulson will play a mother who raises her teenage daughter in isolation, only to see her life begin to unravel as she discovers her mother's sinister secret. Natalie Qasabian and Sev Ohanian are producing Run, which starts production on Oct. 31.

Chaganty and Ohanian wrote the film's script.

Paulson's film credits include Carol, 12 Years a Slave and The Post. She was most recently in Oceans 8, and in TV earned an Emmy and other awards for her portrayal of Marcia Clark in The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story.

Paulson is currently in production on Ryan Murphy's anthology TV series American Horror Story for FX.

Paulson, Chaganty and Ohanian are represented by CAA.
