'Saturday Night Live' Picks Castmember to Play Donald Trump for Upcoming Season
Taran Killam will portray the reality star turned presidential candidate.
Taran Killam has been granted the role of playing Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on the 41st season of Saturday Night Live, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
SNL's announcer, Darrell Hammond, previously performed the role of the former reality star in various sketches. Trump has risen to be an outspoken (and entertaining) Republican candidate with his multiple late-night talk show appearances, his views on immigration and most recently his participation in the Republican presidential candidate debates.
Killam has had his share of impersonations on SNL, including Brad Pitt, Matthew McConaughey, Eminem and Piers Morgan.
