Jay Roach will receive comedy director of the decade award

LAS VEGAS -- Jay Roach, who helmed the DreamWorks-produced "Dinner for Schmucks," will be honored as comedy director of the decade at ShoWest 2010.

Roach made his comedy debut with 1997's "Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery" and more recently directed "Meet the Parents" and "Meet the Fockers." He will be feted Thursday during the awards gala set to close the exhibition confab.

"Jay has directed some of the most hilarious movies for over a decade," ShoWest managing director Robert Sunshine said.
