Score Media Launches Spanish Language Mobile App
Canadian broadcaster launches Spanish-language mobile soccer app in time for Copa America competition.
TORONTO - Canadian sports broadcaster Score Media has launched a Spanish edition of its soccer smartphone app, ScoreMobileFC, in time for Copa America, the Latin American soccer event.
Dale Fallon, director of Mobile at Toronto-based Score Media, said the ScoreMobileFC app has around 3 million monthly users accessing live scores and soccer news, and it made sense to go to Spanish as the first language offered beyond English.
Other foreign language versions of the ScoreMobile FC will follow in late 2011.
ScoreMobileFC in Spanish is now available on the BlackBerry platform.
Apps for iPhone, Android and Windows Phone users will be rolled out shortly, Score Media confirmed.
