Scott Carlin departs HBO

Domestic distribution president will not be replaced

Scott Carlin has stepped down as president of HBO Domestic Distribution.

The move comes as HBO's pipeline of syndicatable product has dried up for the near future. He will not be replaced.

Carlin recently sold veteran comedies "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and "Entourage" to Tribune Broadcasting and "Entourage" to Spike TV.

He previously shepherded the sales of HBO's "The Sopranos" to A&E, "Sex and the City" to Tribune and to TBS, "Six Feet Under" to Bravo and "Band of Brothers" to the History Channel.

Carlin's departure follows the recent exit of his top lieutenant, exec vp program distribution Tom Cerio, who joined Warner Bros. Domestic TV Distribution as executive vp cable sales.
