Scott Foundas joins Lincoln Center arm

Critic to serve as associate program director for Film Society

Film critic Scott Foundas is joining the Film Society of Lincoln Center as associate program director.

As the Film Society will have more screens to program when its new film center opens in 2011, Foundas will play a significant role in building the organization's new multiscreen programming strategy.

His responsibilities will include all series and event programs on the organization's calendar, including the New York Film Festival. Foundas will work directly with program director Richard Pena, a 22-year veteran of the Film Society.

Foundas was the film editor and chief film critic for LA Weekly and since 2007 was a member of the selection committee for the New York Film Festival.
