Screenwriter Lewis Colick Signs With APA (Exclusive)

October Sky and Ghosts of Mississippi screenwriter Lewis Colick has signed with APA.

Eva Longoria is directing his most recent screenplay, Flamin' Hot, a biopic about the janitor-turned-inventor of the classic Cheetos snack. The project, from Fox Searchlight and DeVon Franklin's Franklin Entertainment, tells the true story of Richard Montanez, the son of a Mexican immigrant who was a janitor at Frito-Lay when he came up with the idea for Flamin' Hot Cheetos.

Colick's other film scripts include MJB Got Faith for Franklin and Josephson Entertainment at TriStar, Chicken Soup For The Soul for Alcon Entertainment and Jordan Kerner, and Ashley Rhodes-Courter’s memoir Three Little Words.

Colick’s other feature credits include Charles St. Cloud, starring Zac Efron and Kim Basinger, and Ladder 49, led by Joaquin Phoenix and John Travolta. October Sky starred Jake Gyllenhaal, and Ghosts of Mississippi was toplined by Alec Baldwin and James Woods.
