"Today we lay to rest our ANGEL. Her spirit lives on with us FOREVER," the music mogul wrote Saturday morning on social media.

Sean "Diddy" Combs shared some touching words on the same day his former girlfriend Kim Porter was laid to rest in Georgia.

"Today we lay to rest our ANGEL. Her spirit lives on with us FOREVER!!! We thank you all for your prayers and support. You have no idea how much it means to us. We thank GOD for all of you," he wrote Saturday on social media.

Porter was the mother to three of Diddy's six children. The couple first began dating in 1994 and eventually broke things off in 2007.

Porter died Nov. 15 in her Los Angeles home at the age of 47. Her cause of death remains unknown.

Porter's funeral was held in her hometown of Columbus. More than 1,200 people were expected to attend the service at the Cascade Hills megachurch, according to Georgia's Ledger-Enquirer.
