Sean Hannity Mocked for "President Clinton" Slip During Fox News Show
The host made the gaffe, which has been skewered mercilessly on social media, during what he described as "one of the most important monologues" he will ever give on his show.
It seems the Russia scandal is getting to Sean Hannity.
The Fox News host made an embarrassing slip on the Monday edition of his show, describing Hillary Clinton as "President Clinton" in what he described as "one of the most important monologues" of his career. Unsurprisingly, the slip quickly went viral on social media, and the mockery was relentless.
On the day a federal grand jury indicted three members of the Trump campaign, a somber Hannity opened his show railing against the "unequal justice" and questioned the probity of Robert Mueller and his special counsel investigation.
Before too long, Hannity was back to attacking Clinton with vim and vigor, and just over three minutes in he slipped and asked, "What did President Clinton, or, uh, President Clinton wannabe," know about the Uranium One deal that he has been pushing relentlessly as a possible Democratic Party scandal?
Though he tried to style out his stumble, the internet had noticed. Many pointed out that it fit with the joke that Fox News was more comfortable pretending that Clinton was in the White House, something the former Secretary of State herself has joked about.

It’s okay Sean...
She is the popular choice.
Hannity, just after calling her "President Clinton," is now going after Hillary for making a joke about how Fox News thinks she's president.— Brian Tashman (@briantashman) October 31, 2017
Hannity just mistakenly referred to her as "President Clinton" on Fox. https://t.co/V5q5V03BVd— Michael Calderone (@mlcalderone) October 31, 2017
It’ll be weird when Warren wins in 2020 bc Fox accidentally spent four years attacking Hillary instead— Dave Weigel (@daveweigel) October 31, 2017
Sean Hannity just called Hillary “President Clinton” — if he’s privy to some info we’re not, I’m open to it.— Sarah Wood (@sarahwoodwriter) October 31, 2017
New talking point? 2nd time in 3 days a high-profile Trumpkin has 'accidentally' called Hillary the president. https://t.co/UgBonTny3P— Noah Shachtman (@NoahShachtman) October 31, 2017
