It's a Season 2 for the 'Tara' 4
EmptyShowtime has given a second season to "United States of Tara."
The premium network has renewed the Toni Collette drama about a woman with multiple personalities for another round.
"Tara," created by Diablo Cody and executive produced by Steven Spielberg, has aired just four episodes. It has averaged 2.1 million viewers a week, including repeat airings, which is better than "Dexter" and "Weeds" in their first seasons (the "Tara" number also doesn't include DVR use or on-demand viewing). Helping matters: Sunday night's episode climbed 15% compared with the previous week.
As for Showtime's other series, "The L Word" is in its final season, and "Secret Diary of a Call Girl" has a third season coming as part of the show's original acquisition deal. (partialdiff)
