Selena Gomez, Chloe Grace Moretz Wade Into Kanye West-Taylor Swift Feud
The stars both took to Twitter to voice their frustration over trivial celebrity beefs.
The ongoing Kanye West-Taylor Swift feud met with a withering response from Selena Gomez on Sunday.
Gomez, famously part of Swift's girl squad, took to Twitter to slam celebrities airing their trivial disagreements on social media, an oblique reference to Kim Kardashian West leaking video of Kanye West discussing the lyrics to the controversial song "Famous" with Swift.
"Why can't people use their voice for something that f—ing matters?" asked a frustrated Gomez, adding that the last thing that was needed right now was "hate, in any form."
When Twitter user @prasejeebus asked Gomez why she or Swift hadn't made any comments about Black Lives Matter or police brutality, she pithily responded "so that means if I hashtag something I save lives?" before adding that the user didn't know what she did.
Chloe Moretz, who had her own feud with Kardashian West, also vented her frustration at the trivial obsessions of people in the entertainment industry. "Everyone in this industry needs to get their heads out a hole and look around to realize what's ACTUALLY happening in the REAL world," Moretz tweeted. She followed by exhorting people to stop wasting their time on something so "petulant and unimportant."
That prompted a response from Khloe Kardashian, resulting in a back-and-forth between the pair, with the reality star posting a photo from Neighbors 2 that she thought was of the actress:
Moretz was quick to point out that the photo was not of her and she was wearing a blue bikini bottom:
