Selena-in-Wonderland vibes.

Selena Gomez's new music video for "Fetish," her single featuring Gucci Mane, has us a bit perplexed.

Is it ... sexy? Haunting? Cute? All of the above?

The sultry suburban setting and Gomez's youthful beauty look — complete with glossy pink lips and drawn-on faux freckles — gives strong Virgin Suicides vibes, as does the 25-year-old's erratic behavior (think: using an eyelash curler on her tongue). Filmed and directed by "girl gaze" pioneer Petra Collins, the video has a hazy, nostalgic energy that feels like a natural evolution from Gomez's "Bad Liar" video, which was released last month.

The singer's wardrobe, too, has an impactful presence. Though she's singing, "If I were you, I'd do me too/ You got a fetish for my love," she's dressed in a girlish, prairie-style yellow smock and white knee socks. Gomez is also shown in a second yellow look, a frilly Simone Rocha number covered in dainty embroidered florals.

The contrast between sexy and sweet only gets more intense as the video goes on, and Gomez finds herself in a walk-in freezer where she confronts a tray of frozen peaches. Then there's the scene where she's crawling across a table as water pours from the ceiling. Who said the suburbs weren't exciting?
