Seligman tapped for Oscar telecast

To be supervising producer of the awards show

Michael B. Seligman has been named supervising producer of the 81st annual Academy Awards telecast, which airs Feb. 22 on ABC.

In making the announcement producer Laurence Mark and executive producer Bill Condon said, "Michael's expertise in putting together a mammoth live television production like the Oscars is invaluable."

Seligman has been associated with the Oscar show for 32 years and has received four Emmy nominations for his work on the telecasts.

Seligman specializes in producing live broadcasts throughout the world, and most recently served as producer of "Stand Up to Cancer," a one-hour commercial-free special that aired simultaneously on the ABC, CBS and NBC television networks to raise funds for cutting-edge cancer research.
