Seoul ani fest casts net for entries


SEOUL -- The Seoul International Cartoon and Animation Festival is now accepting entries to its competitive sections, which include short film, feature, TV animation and online categories.

SICAF, which runs May 21-25, kicked off in 1995 and is the largest festival in Korea dedicated to animation and cartoons. It will award $37,000 in prizes this year.

Past winners include Jo Beom-jin's "Aachi and Ssipak," Toe Yuen's "My Life as McDull," and Nelson Shin's "Empress Chung," and Aron Gauder's "The District!"
