The 'ASOS Magazine' cover girl reveals how everything goes down.

By now we all know Taylor Swift has collected the most exciting and beautiful group of girls to surround herself with. Many of them were featured in her “Bad Blood” video, which seemed to coalesce the whole squad notion. But we’ve wondered, how exactly does a Swift production like a music video shoot or VMAs appearance go down?

According to Serayah — who plays singer Tiana Brown on the hit series Empire and took on the role of Dilemma in “Bad Blood” — “it’s totally personal. She’ll text us and be like, ‘Let’s do this.’ Group message —it’s not a manager thing, it’s just a text. It’s never managers, it’s never business, it’s always fun. Normality first."

As for what’s discussed on those group texts, the actress tells Pret-a-Reporter, “Oh man, anything.” And in person, “It’s just like girl time. It’s so comfortable and easy-going. It’s a friendship, and that’s what I like most about [being part of the squad].”

Furthermore, says the current ASOS Magazine cover girl, “I was just telling my friend from high school, sometimes life can get so abnormal compared to what real life is like, because of everything going on and pop culture and the way our lives are run. Being around the girls is like a breath of fresh air, like a deep breath. We can put on sweats and Converse and just talk about boys. It’s really fun.”

Serayah didn’t know Swift before the shoot for “Bad Blood,” but they quickly hit it off. She agreed to be in it immediately after hearing about the whole plan. “I was like, ‘Dude, this is so dope.’ I hadn’t seen this since videos were really popular, like Britney Spears and Janet Jackson.”

“[Taylor] asked to have my number and it just went from there. I didn’t know what to expect. I met her on set and we were all doing our makeup and instantly it was girl time.” At the VMAs there was a similar vibe. The squad — which also included Gigi Hadid, Selena Gomez, Karlie Kloss, Cara Delevingne, Martha Hunt, Mariska Hargitay, Hailee Steinfeld and Lily Aldridge — got ready in a big dressing room. “Everyone was getting their makeup done, and hair and getting dressed, and there was boob tape flying everywhere.” Talk about #squadgoals.
