For its first edition in Lille, TV festival Series Mania has unveiled its first speakers, as well as a new writing initiative.
In Treatment and The Affair creator Hagai Levi will be among the speakers during the European Project and Talent Forum.
He’ll be joined by Tony Grisoni, the Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas writer who is now executive producing and adapting China Mieville’s The City and The City for the BBC.
Skins creator Bryan Elsley, Call My Agent! creator Fanny Herrero, The End of the F***ing World writer Charlie Covell and La Casa de Papel writer Alex Pina are also on board.
The festival on Monday also unveiled its Enter the Writers Room program, which will include delegates observing sessions of writers creating a story for a short film over the course of three days.
Series Mania is now in its ninth year, though it will be the first time the festival takes place in the northern city of Lille since moving from Paris. Julianna Margulies, Cuba Gooding Jr., Taraji P. Henson and Lee Daniels have all made past appearances at the festival.
It's also hosted the world premieres of Vinyl with Bobby Cannavale and The Leftovers with Justin Theroux and Damon Lindelof.
This year’s Series Mania will take place April 27-May 5, with the European Project and Talent Forum set for May 2-4 in Lille, France.
