Seth MacFarlane to host WGA Awards in L.A.

Susie Essman previously tapped for East Coast ceremony

"Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane will host the 2010 Writers Guild Awards gala in Los Angeles on Feb. 20.

As previously announced by WGA East, "Curb Your Enthusiasm" actor Susie Essman will host a simultaneous ceremony at Millennium Broadway Hotel's Hudson Theater in New York.

MacFarlane will preside over the WGA's West Coast awards ceremony, set for the Hyatt Regency Plaza Hotel in Century City. In accepting the emcee gig, the wise-cracking comedy producer cracked wise about the guild's 100-day strike from a couple years ago.

More awards coverage
"I'm honored and humbled to be chosen as host of the WGAW awards," MacFarlane said. "I look forward to catching up with my strike buddies from 2007 and making some new strike buddies for 2011."
