Seth Rogen Invites Fans to Smoke Weed With Him at 'Interview' Screening
This is a surefire way for a movie theater to sell a ton of popcorn
Seth Rogen isn't looking to shake his pothead persona anytime soon.
The actor tweeted Tuesday that fans in Denver, Colo., can smoke weed with him in a movie theater before watching an advance showing of his forthcoming comedy The Interview.
"We are going to do a screening of #TheInterviewMovie in Colorado where I get baked with everyone first, and we can smoke weed in the theater," he tweeted.
Rogen, who is open about his love for pot and frequently plays stoners in his films, wrote that the event would take place Dec. 8. Interested moviegoers are to send an email to RSVPTheInterviewDenver@gmail.com.
Rogen is not the only filmmaker to have taken advantage of Colorado being the first state to legalize recreational marijuana. In July, the producer and director of Mile High: The Comeback of Cannabis, a documentary about the path to the state's relaxed pot stance, announced their plan to hand out a small amount of free cannabis to everyone who showed up at Denver theaters where the movie was showing.
The Interview stars Rogen and James Franco as two guys who head to North Korea with instructions to kill leader Kim Jong Un. Columbia Pictures releases the film Dec. 25.
