SFR, TF1 team for mobile offering

PARIS -- French mobile phone company SFR has partnered with private TV network TF1's VOD subsidiary to offer subscribers TF1 Vision content on their mobile phones.

Customers of SFR's "ADSL + Mobile" and "ADSL + 3g internet" will be able to watch hundreds of programs available from the TF1 Vision catalog including such recent feature films as "La Vie en Rose" and "Blood Diamond," videos from Disney's catalog of titles including "Toy Story," "Tarzan" and "Monsters, Inc."

SFR subscribers also can access TF1's "Catch up TV" service, which allows viewers to access the network's programs long after their air date or, as was the case for NBC's "Heroes" season 2, as soon as 24 hours after their Gallic broadcast.

The programs, many of which are available in high definition, will be offered via streaming starting at €0.49 ($0.71) per episode.

"This deal with SFR allows our users to benefit from all of our know-how and to easily access the richness of our offer directly on their personal TV screens," TF1 Video president and CEO Pierre Brossard said in a statement.
