Sharon Stone, Tony Goldwyn and Ellen Burstyn to Celebrate 'A Little Something for Your Birthday' (Exclusive)
The coming-of-age comedy will be introduced to buyers at AFM in November.
Sharon Stone, Tony Goldwyn and Ellen Burstyn have signed up to star in A Little Something for Your Birthday, a coming-of-age comedy to be directed by Susan Walter from her own script that made it onto the 2008 Black List.
Production on the project is se to begin in early October, with Stone set to play a woman struggling to escape the clutches of her overbearing, co-dependent mother, played by Burstyn, recently seen in House of Cards as Claire Underwood's (Robin Wright) icy mom Elizabeth Hale. Meanwhile, Goldwyn — Scandal's President Fitzgerald Grant III — arrives on the scene as a sexy, sophisticated attorney who captures her heart.
Rob Carliner, Eric Brenner, Gary Preisler and Matthew Brady through his MRB Productions will produce, with Cinetel Films repping worldwide rights. Cinetel's Stephen Gary and Jody Cipriano will introduce the project to buyers at the American Film Market in November.
Stone is repped by Chuck Binder of Binder and Associates; Tony Goldwyn is with CAA, Untitled and Schreck Rose Dapello & Adams; and Ellen Burstyn is handled by ICM and MGMT Management. Walter is repped by the Gersh Agency and attorney Alex Kohner.
A Little Something for Your Birthday was first prepped back in 2009 as a co-production between Overture Films and Anonymous Content, with Michael Engler attached to direct.
