Shazam Predicts the Soundtrack of Summer

Daft Punk's "Get Lucky," Icona Pop's "I Love It" and Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" are among the songs on the music identification service's top 10.

Popular music identification service Shazam has revealed its summer 2013 playlist.

Based on Shazam users' "tags" and "other factors," the predictive "Sounds of Summer" places Daft Punk's insta-anthem "Get Lucky" at the top of the heap. Also making the top 10:'s "Fall Down" with Miley Cyrus, Icona Pop's "I Love It" and Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines."

Said Will Mills, vp music and content at Shazam: "Everyone has a particular song that reminds them of their favorite vacation or when they were out with their friends. … Shazam's Tag Charts are recognized as one of the most predictive measures for the industry to see which songs and artists resonate with people, driving airplay and sales."
