ShoWest to honor marketing exec Ted Hatfield

Regeal Cinemas vet tapped for career nod

Regal Cinemas marketing veteran Ted Hatfield will be honored with the Marvin Levy award for career accomplishment in film marketing at ShoWest 2009.

Hatfield will be feted at a luncheon to be held April 1 as part of the four-day confab. ShoWest is set to run March 30-April 2 at the Bally's and Paris hotels in Las Vegas.

Levy, the longtime publicist for Steven Spielberg, was honored with an inaugural lifetime achievement award ShoWest last year.

Hatfield joined Regal Entertainment Group in 1997 and currently serves as the Regal circuit's director of film marketing. He previously worked seven years at Sony as vp exhibition relations and prior to that held a similar distribution post at MGM for 23 years.

"His tireless work ethic and boundless enthusiasm makes him a true professional in the world of film marketing," ShoWest co-managing director Mitch Neuhauser said. "He is respected and admired by all who know him."
