Showtime for MacDowell, Boyle, Martin

Showtime is adding more star power to its half-hour pilots with Andie MacDowell, Lara Flynn Boyle and Andrea Martin in negotiations to join "Insatiable."

The single-camera comedy, said to be in the tone of "Twin Peaks," chronicles the intertwined stories of four families in a small town where everyone has some sort of addiction.

MacDowell will play the self-appointed first lady of the town, a glamorous, sophisticated woman who is married to a millionaire and is an eBay shopping addict.

Boyle will play MacDowell's character's sister, a local news personality married to a doctor who gets a sexual rush from stealing things.

Martin will play a loving and good-natured single mom and a hardworking accountant who is a gambling addict.

The three join previously cast Peter Facinelli and Beth Riesgraf.

Kevin Smith, John Corbett, James Purefoy and Paul Hipp topline Showtime's comedy pilot "Manchild," while David Duchovny was tapped to star in the cable network's third half-hour pilot, "Californication."

MacDowell most recently was among the voice cast in the animated feature "Barnyard." She is repped by ICM and attorney Robert Marshall.

Boyle starred in the Lifetime telefilm "The House Next Door" and had a recurring role on NBC's "Las Vegas."

Tony winner Martin most recently was seen in the feature "How to Eat Fried Worms." She next will appear in "Black Christmas."
