Denis Villeneuve and Jean-Marc Vallee are two of the hottest Canadian directors (Villeneuve's Sicario just expanded in the specialty box office, earning $1.8 million from 59 theaters), and they also have something else in common: Their children are dating.

Vallee's son Emile and Villeneuve's daughter Salome, both 19, were not introduced by their famous French-Canadian fathers, but rather met at a bar in Canada (where the drinking age is 19). They hit it off, and got to spend plenty of time together at the recent Toronto Film Festival, where both their fathers had films playing.

THR spotted the teens during TIFF glued to each other, chatting in French at Vallee's Sept. 10 Demolition party at Patria and a Sept. 11 Sicario Soho House event. Upping the aww factor: The senior Villeneuve turned out to support Vallee at his party and vice versa.

Vallee's Demolition, starring Jake Gyllenhaal, served at the opening night film of the festival and will be released in U.S. theaters in April. Villeneuve's Sicario, which previously screened at Cannes, stars Emily Blunt and is now rolling out into theaters.
