The 'Resident Evil' actress joins Bruce Dern and Brian Cox in the romantic comedy.

Sienna Guillory (Resident Evil, Love, Actually) will join two-time Oscar nominee Bruce Dern and Emmy Award winner Brian Cox in Martin Rosete’s romantic comedy Remember Me, which will start shooting in Spain later this month before moving to France and Los Angeles.

Caroline Silhol and Brandon Larracuente round out the cast in the co-production between the U.S.' Create Entertainment, Spain's Lazona Films and Kamel Films, as well as France's F Comme Film.

In Remember Me, Dern plays 70-year-old widower Claude, who learns that the love of his life, Lilian (Silhol), is in a senior home going through difficult times without anybody looking after her. With the help of his best friend, Shane (Cox), Claude decides to fake Alzheimer’s as the only way to be by her side. Guillory will play Dern’s daughter, Selma, whose politician husband has been publicly shamed for sleeping with a prostitute, causing her and her family to flee from the press.

New York-based Spanish director Rosete ranks as one of Spain’s up-and-coming talents. His short film Voice Over  drew accolades including a Goya Award nomination and won the Melies d'Or, the top prize awarded by the European Fantastic Film Festivals Federation. For his directorial debut, Rosete directed and produced the thriller Money, starring Jamie Bamber and Jesse Williams.

Rosete teams with another one of Spain’s promising fresh faces, scriptwriter Rafa Russo, who wrote the script for Remember. Russo directed the Goya Award-winning short Nothing to Lose and wrote Maria Ripoll’s Twice Upon Yesterday, among other credits.

"Remember Me overflows with the sort of hilariously abrasive honesty you only encounter in real family relationships; its central story is irresistibly romantic and paradoxically twisted, morally speaking," said Guillory. "I’m a sucker for a good story!"

Said Atit Shah, lead producer and CEO of Create Entertainment: "This film's script is by far the most unique I have ever had the pleasure of laying my hands on. Funny, lovable and beyond charming. We all feel beyond blessed that three years after I first read it, we are now only a few days away from principal photography."

He added: "Martin instantly clicked with Sienna from the first phone call, and we could not have imagined landing a more perfect Selma."
