Singapore, Gothenburg pact for media

Deal covers technology applications and access to locations

SHANGHAI -- Singapore's Media Development Authority and the Swedish city of Gothenburg Monday signed a development and distribution agreement covering digital media.

The memorandum will allow Swedish companies to use Singapore as a test-bed for new tech applications. The MDA will also provide match-making support. In return, Singapore firms will get access to Swedish technology and to Gothenburg’s Lindholmen Science Park.

Singapore has identified media, entertainment and interactive digital media especially, as priority industries and is helping the sectors with a string of bilateral treaties and trade deals.
